About Me

My name is Kat Cheek. Yes, like the two on your face and probably the first ones you thought of…the pair on your bum. I am a 23 year old college graduate attempting the unfortunate task of discovering my path in life. By day, I’m a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, practicing in downtown Seattle. But by night & weekend, I’m an enthusiastic fixer-upper and DIYer. My idea of a good time is perusing thrift stores, buying items second hand, and finding ways to make them new. Salvaging pieces from their ultimate doom, and restoring their long lost beauty.

Living in Seattle, we are surrounded by everything green, organic, and fresh. Everyday, we encounter new ways to reduce our carbon footprint and improve our impact on the world. With recycling at the top of that list, why not use this as opportunity to improve the things that already exist? Instead of throwing away old furniture and home decor that has become outdated, lets put in a little elbow grease and make them desirable once more.
